Welcome to the Southwest Georgia Interstate Study Website!

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), working closely with its transportation partners, is initiating a study to investigate needs for improving Southwest Georgia’s access and connectivity to interstates in the region including I-185, I-75 and I-10. Known as the “Southwest Georgia Interstate Study”, it will look at current and future traffic conditions in the region, identify needed projects, and estimate costs for any new projects or roadways. Near its conclusion in June 2009, the study will recommend specific transportation projects for further consideration by elected officials and policy makers.
